Rangitoto College size up World’s best

As champions of the 2016 ‘AA’ Secondary Schools Boys National Basketball Championships, the Rangitoto College boys’ premier team, and St Peters School Cambridge girls’ premier team, were invited to attend the 2017 International School Sport Federation (ISF) World Schools Championship. Rangitoto College took up the invitation and are currently in Croatia competing against some of the World’s best.

Held in the city of Poreč, the tournament is run over nine days showcasing the best 32 schools from throughout Europe, Asia and South America, from 29 April to 7 May 2017. Rangitoto was drawn into Pool F and faced opposition schools from France, Belgium and hosts Croatia.

At this stage of the tournament, Rangitoto have lost against France and Belgium, and won against Croatia, Austria and the Netherlands. They play Czech Republic next in the 17-20 phase.
